• I want to protect and expand neighborhood schools. We should lift up our neighborhoods schools just as we do any one of the TAG, Choice or Montessori. I believe that providing enough resources to ensure all of our schools shine is critical.
  • I will demand fair teacher pay system that works for every single teacher. As a former teacher and a current compensation manager, I understand the need to ensure our teachers are getting a fair wage. We need to revamp TEI and make it work for every single teachers.
  • I want to fight for board accountability and end financial waste. Too much money is moved around, lost, or wasted. We need new accountability measures to ensure our tax dollars are spent on what best helps children learn and succeed first.
  • I want to expand afterschool opportunity. Our students need enrichment and our parents our support. We can tear down the red tape that often prevents our community organizations from providing afterschool services to our families.
  • I want to advocate for meaningful racial equity. The racial discrimination of our city is indelibly marked on all of our systems—especially education. It’s our job in this generation to help mitigate the problems that have arisen because the lack of access to equitable resources. It requires all of us to have legitimate conversations and lasting fixes about how solve these disparities.
